WELCOME TO
EMPIRE ENERGY CORPORATION INTERNATIONAL
| A Letter from CEO and Founder, Malcolm Bendall | ![]() |
Ladies and Gentlemen:
First, allow me to welcome you and to thank you for taking time to explore our company, Empire Energy, much as we are exploring for oil and gas in the central highlands of Tasmania. Our newly constructed website is but the first step in an ongoing series of events designed to keep all interested parties apprised of our company's evolvement along with our exploration progress.
If there is but one concept I would emphasize to both our shareholders and our visitors, it would be that the entire Empire Energy Team is intently and singularly focused on bringing this first well, Bellvue #1, to fruition. It has been a time consuming and complicated process over these past many years. It has involved government permitting, endless rounds of financing, seismic exploration, massive amounts of drilling equipment being mobilized to an island, hiring talented personnel from around the world including (hydrocarbon) geologists, engineers, CFO's, and drilling crews. We then had necessity to provide living quarters, food preparation services, and all ancillary facilities to care for a "small army" of onsite personnel. Simultaneously we have been interviewing suitable Joint Venture partners from around the world. The sum total of these endeavors adds up to massive amounts of time, money, and organization; such is the world of oil and gas exploration.
I would like for each of you to understand in a most profound sense, that we are focused on the duties at hand as never before. As we attempt to improve in every sector of this project, we will continue to define our company culture as one that ultimately benefits our shareholders. We thank you for your perseverance, and we want you to know that we have every intention of honoring your faith in us by creating a successful company that has the potential to culminate in the discovery and viable commercial production of hydrocarbons on the island of Tasmania.
I have been focused almost exclusively on the funding process which has been a most challenging endeavor in this current financial environment. However, each of our team members with a specific role to play has also been operating in that same difficult environment. Together, both individually and collectively, we are making progress and I do not want you to become discouraged.
I know I speak for every person at Empire Energy and Great Southland Minerals when I say that we are totally committed to the success of this enterprise. I realize that it feels like an eternity to many of you who have been with us for extended periods of time. You've invested funds in the project and frequently you've committed time and energy. For many it's been both a test and a leap of faith. Make no mistake, we understand that and are doing everything in our power to move things along as quickly as possible.
With our communication vehicles, such as this website, now being finely tuned, I anticipate a closer connection with our community of investors. We have been working diligently to advance this project and we anticipate that soon we will have regular news to report to you. We are now thinking in terms of days, not weeks.
I continue to believe that the prospects for success are quite positive and yet we always have to temper optimism with realism because after all, this is a virgin basin in which we are drilling. As such, it is a "high risk-high reward" proposition. That being said, some of the most respected oil and gas professionals in the world have given a "thumbs up" to this project. Consider also that located in the Bass Straights, next to operating gas wells, an underground pipeline has been constructed at great expense by Duke Energy. This pipeline connects Tasmania to Australia and speaks volumes to the potential of this endeavor.
Again, thank you for your perseverance and the encouragement many of you have extended. We will be back in touch very soon with additional updates. We will continue to assiduously work towards a successful future.
Sincerely yours,
Malcolm Bendall
CEO Empire Energy
